Frequently Asked Questions

Is domain front-running actually real?
Yes. Several registrars have been caught or accused of registering domains that users searched for but didn't purchase. Network Solutions faced a major controversy in 2008. The practice is hard to prove without systematic testing — which is exactly what this tool does.
How does the decoy domain method work?
We generate plausible-sounding domain names that have no prior search history and no organic reason to be registered. After searching them through a registrar's interface, we monitor WHOIS records. If a decoy gets registered shortly after the search, it's a strong signal of front-running.
What do I do if a registrar is caught stealing searches?
Your dashboard will show timestamped evidence: the search event, the WHOIS registration date, and the registrar involved. You can export this data and report it to ICANN or use it to warn the domain investor community.
